Join us virtually for the fifth annual Tea & Tech: Girls' STEM Day! (Registration is required; Open to girls ages 8-17.)
 

Ada Lovelace Day is an international holiday that recognizes the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  Girls ages 8 - 17 can participate in this Ada Lovelace Day-inspired day of activities which also coincides with the Wisconsin Science Festival.

  1. Arduino Temperature Controlled Fan with LCD with Isabel Mendiola, Gearbox Labs
    Engineer. Educator and Arduino Innovator Isabel Mendiola will guide students through an Arduino temperature controlled fan with LCD that can be completed with a physical Arduino kit or virtually with a free account at Tinkercad.com.  Please create your Tinkercad account in advance.

  2. Weather Girl vs Meteorologist: The Power Behind the Title with Brooke Brighton, Spectrum News
    Meteorologist Brooke Brighton will discuss why female meteorologists strive to get people to call them by their title (meteorologist) rather than just a weather girl.  Learn some weather basics, such as cloud types, different types of precipitation, and how we read certain weather symbols, measurements and readings.

2:30pm - Tea and Shop Talk (Tea and sweet treats will be provided in the take-home kits, courtesy of Starbucks.)

3pm - Meet Robotics Champion Laser Tech FTC
