Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Books & Materials
Mead Library cardholders are no longer charged fines for overdue items, even if the item originates from another library. Cardholders are still billed for lost and damaged items. Accounts are temporarily blocked once items are two weeks overdue.
Your library card can be used at any Monarch System Library, and library materials can be returned to those libraries as well (except for Experience Collection items). You may also return materials to most public and university libraries elsewhere in Wisconsin for transport to Mead via the state library delivery service.
Events & Meeting Rooms
We have public computers available, along with a public printer/copier/scanner and fax machine. We also offer wireless printing from mobile devices. Some of these services may include a fee. For more details, visit our printing services page.
Volunteering & Donations
Monetary donations can be made directly to the Mead Public Library Foundation. You can donate used books, videos, CDs and DVDs to the Friends of Mead Public Library. The drop-off box is located in the Bookstore. For donations bigger than one full box, please call 920-459-3400, ext. 2039. Visit our Donate page for more information, including a list of types of items accepted.
