Books & Materials

New books are due back in 14 days, while all other books are due in 28 days. You can view a full list of due dates for other library materials on our Using Your Card page.

Mead Library cardholders are no longer charged fines for overdue items, even if the item originates from another library. Cardholders are still billed for lost and damaged items. Accounts are temporarily blocked once items are two weeks overdue.

Yes, we offer one-on-one assistance twice a month during our Drop-In Tech Help program. Visit the events calendar for details. Or, you can schedule an appointment with a librarian by calling 920-459-3400, ext. 4.

Yes, our librarians will hand-select books for you based on your interests through our Your Next Five Books service.. To get started, fill out this form.

Our children’s librarians also assemble kids book bundles tailored to a child’s reading level and interests. Fill out this form to get started

Your library card can be used at any Monarch System Library, and library materials can be returned to those libraries as well (except for Experience Collection items). You may also return materials to most public and university libraries elsewhere in Wisconsin for transport to Mead via the state library delivery service.

Library Services

We have public computers available, along with a public printer/copier/scanner and fax machine. We also offer wireless printing from mobile devices. Some of these services may include a fee. For more details, visit our printing services page.

Notary services are available by appointment by calling 920-459-3400.

The library offers delivery services to homebound individuals and various services for people with disabilities. Visit our Home Delivery page for more information.

Volunteering & Donations

We have a wide assortment of volunteer positions for all interests and availability. We allow volunteers as young as 14. To learn more, visit our volunteer page.

Monetary donations can be made directly to the Mead Public Library Foundation. You can donate used books, videos, CDs and DVDs to the Friends of Mead Public Library. The drop-off box is located in the Bookstore. For donations bigger than one full box, please call 920-459-3400, ext. 2039.
