RAIN GARDENS W/CHRISTINA

A rain garden is a beautiful multi-functional garden with a purpose! They are eco-friendly, filter water, prevent flooding and runoff.  A rain garden uses only native plants and is designed in a way to capture, temporarily hold, and filter storm water back into the ground. They can also be used to prevent basement flooding and pooling/puddling of water in your yard and property. We will cover characteristics of a rain garden, native plants and how to select and plant them, site selection, creation of the garden, and maintenance of the rain garden.
