Certified Local Government 101: CLG Certification + Community Engagment

Purpose of Meeting

Green Bicycle Co. will share a webinar followed by a facilitated discussion with Green Bicycle Co. staff. Jason Tish of the Wisconsin historical society will provide an overview of CLG - how to get started, how to maximize your existing certification, and provide an overview of the tools and funding available to communities with CLG status. This tool is very useful to help incentivize the conservation of historic commercial buildings and engage others in your community in the effort. Green Bicycle Co. is staffed by Urban Planners, Community Developers, and Community Educators to both create conscious communities and add people to the equation by hosting events and facilitating discussions like this one. The items discussed here will help us work towards continued community engagement and a Historic Preservation Plan that includes underrepresented communities by including but going beyond building and recognizing cultures, languages, environment, and more.
