Accessibility

Mead Library is accessible to individuals with disabilities. We offer large-print books, descriptive videos, home delivery, talking book service, books on CD, downloadable e-books and audiobooks, and print enlargers.

We also offer many digital services that may be helpful to people with disabilities. These include e-mail reference (use the "contact us" form at the bottom of this page), e-books, catalog and account access online, and databases.

On request, our programs may include special accommodations, such as sign language interpreting service. Requests must be made at least seven business days in advance of the program. To request an interpreter, please call 459-3400, ext. 2039.

The library has a wheelchair and three wheeled walkers for use within the building.

The library's Rocca Meeting Room also has an "induction loop" system which magnetically transmits sound to hearing aids and cochlear implants with telecoils (T-coils).
