Chromebooks, Hotspots & Drives

Mead Library cardholders can check out Chromebooks, WiFi hotspots and external hard drives. The items are available to adults only and can be borrowed for seven days.

The Chromebooks, hotspots and hard drives are available for checkout at the first-floor Experience Collection display (near the customer service desk) or via curbside pickup. The items are not reservable and cannot be renewed.

This service is available to Mead Library cardholders only.

Makerspace Equipment To Go

Bring home a variety of tech and craft equipment from our makerspace. The kits can be found at the first-floor Experience Collection display located near the customer service desk.

Available items include:

Arduino
This credit-card-sized, programmable microcontroller can read sensors and will turn on lights, run motors, and more, based on the code you write.

Makey Makey
Makey Makey is a device you can use to turn anything, like a banana, into a game controller or keyboard.  

Ozobots
A smart robot that can follow lines or roam around freely, detect colors, and can be programmed using visual codes.  You can control them by drawing colored lines and codes on paper, or through the use of a computer or tablet.

Sewing Machine
Work on your small DIY mending and sewing projects without the fuss of owning, maintaining and storing your own sewing machine.

We're looking to create a collection of tools and other DIY home improvement equipment.
