How do I obtain a library card?
You can sign up for a card either in person, or you can register online if you're a resident of zipcodes 53081 or 53083.
To apply in person, you'll need a photo ID with your name and current address, such as your driver's license or state ID. Or bring in a photo ID without a current address, such as a driver's license, state ID, school or work issued ID or consular ID, plus an official document that lists your name and current address. Examples include a voter registration card, mail postmarked within 30 days, utility bill or personal check.

What’s my password/PIN?
Your password/PIN is usually the last four digits of the telephone number you gave when you registered for your card. You can change it after logging into your account.
How do I receive a replacement card or update my account information?
You can get a replacement card ($1 fee may apply) or update your account information at the first-floor Customer Service Desk.
How do I reserve a library item?
You may request an item by clicking "Place Request" when searching the Monarch Catalog. We will notify you by telephone, e-mail or text when it is available for pickup. To place a hold by phone, call 459-3400, ext. 2. Click here for a short tutorial to guide you through the process.
Can I cancel a request or held item?
You may cancel an active request by logging into your account online. Once an item is held for pickup you may only cancel it in person or by phone (459-3400, ext. 2). There is a charge for items that are held and not canceled or picked up by the expiration date. Requested items are held for you for seven days.
How do I suspend/reactivate a request?
You may temporarily suspend some or all of your requests at any time by logging into your account. When you reactivate a request, it will return to the same position on the waiting list as before.
How do I renew items?
You may renew materials in person at the first-floor Customer Service Desk, by logging into your account online or by calling 459-3400 ext 2.
You can renew all library materials, except for items in the "popular picks" category, up to five days after the due date, as long as no one else has placed a request on the item. Materials may be renewed twice, with each additional loan period beginning on the date the renewal is made.
Can I check my account in person or by phone?
You can check your account in person at our first-floor Customer Service Desk and receive information on charges, lost materials, late materials, items checked out, due dates, renewals and reserves. You can also call 459-3400, ext 2, during our regular hours, though you must have your card number available.
Does the library offer an app?
The Monarch2Go app is available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices and allows you to search the Monarch catalog, place holds and renew your items all in one place. The app also acts as a digital library card and works on all self-checkout machines at Mead.
