Read to a Dog with Faith and Friends
The Horizons4Girls therapy dog, Faith, or another of her doggy friends will be visiting kids at Mead Library. Children of all ages may drop in and meet and read to a therapy dog. Sometimes children who are self-conscious when reading in front of classmates can relax when they read to an animal, and they associate reading with something fun and pleasant. Many children just enjoy the opportunity to be with a dog and read a story.
Faith and friends will be here on the following Tuesday evenings: January 15 and 29, February 12 and 26, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 23, May 7 and 21.
