Program Type: Music, Workshop

Join us three Mondays in April for live-streamed ukulele classes brought to you by Lil' Rev and Mead Library. Classes meet from 6:30-7:30pm and can be found on the Mead Facebook page by clicking HERE. Check out the entire list of classes below!

April 12: Piano Blues For Uke in C: Lil’ Rev will be teaching a bluesy piano-style solo in C for ukulele. This catchy, super simple solo is a piano-style blues solo that Lil’ Rev wrote out for ukulele. Lil’ Rev will also talk about piano blues history, great players, and then play a short set of Memphis Slim songs to close out the class. Advanced beginner and up!
April 19: Learn To Play Ukulele Lady; Let’s have some fun learning to strum this classic public domain tune from the Tin Pan Alley era. This is an iconic song written by famed songwriter, Gus Kahn. Lesson includes chord review, intros and endings as well as strum hand techniques to spice it up!
April 26: Sea Shanties For Uke Night; Thanks to Tik Tok, sea shanties have become very popular in the last year. Since Sheboygan is a Great Lakes town with a maritime history, it's only fitting that we have a night of sea shanty singing for ukulele. Expect a fun night of tunes arranged for ukulele as well as a few unaccompanied tunes. Open to all levels.
