Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Book Series contiunues this fall with book selections focusing on Indigenous Peoples' stories and experiences. The book group will meet online; Zoom links will be sent out the day of the event, so make sure to register if you would like to attend. Here's the line-up:

October 12th: There, There by Tommy Orange
November 9th: A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliott
December 14th: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
January 11th: The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich

A limited quanity of book club books are set aside for participants and are available one month in advance of the meeting date; stop by the first floor Circulation Desk to pick up your copy or schedule curbside pick up. If book club books run out, participants can request copies from other Monarch libraries or check out e-books and e-audiobooks through Libby.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Book Series is hosted by Mead Public Library and the Sheboygan Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Initiative (SDEIBI): a diverse group of community activists committed to an equitable and inclusive Sheboygan. This group was formed in 2019 to discuss and address Diversity, Equity,Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB) in Sheboygan. The members represent communities and school districts throughout Sheboygan County along with a variety of backgrounds and affiliations.
