More Poems About Water (a virtual program)
Enjoy an evening of poetry shared by Wisconsin poet laureates past and present during this free virtual event. Their work will be interwoven with short presentations given by representatives of water advocacy groups located up and down the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Poets who will share: Kimberly Blaeser, Bruce Dethlefsen, Joe Engel, Max Garland, Debra Hall, Dasha Kelly Hamilton, Karla Huston, Nancy Rafal, Margaret Rozga, Denise Sweet, Marilyn Taylor, Angie Trudell Vasquez and Lisa Vihos. There will also be a short video that presents the new Drifted Haiku Poetry Walk at Peace Park in Sheboygan.
Water groups represented include: the Sheboygan River Basin Partnership, Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed, Friends of Crescent Beach, the Climate Change Coalition of Door County, the Forest Recovery Project of Door County, the Southeastern Wisconsin Watershed (Sweet Water), and Water 365.
